What to Include with Your Inquiry
When reaching out by email or form, please include the details below. If calling, having this information on hand will help us care for your request as seamlessly as possible:
1. Chosen Burial Vessel
Specify whether you are inquiring about a casket, burial tray, shroud, or a combination.
Please Note: Shrouds are often paired with burial trays or caskets, depending on your preference.
2. Timing & Order Type
Required Completion Date: The exact or estimated date you need the vessel ready.
Order Type: Indicate whether this is an Immediate Need (burial within 2 weeks) or a Pre-Order (requires at least 3 weeks to complete).
Availability Note: We keep a selection of handcrafted vessels on hand for immediate needs. Because our stock and sizing vary throughout the year, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can prioritize your inquiry right away. For those planning ahead, ordering in advance allows us ample time and space to ensure every detail is tailored to your exact wishes.
3. Sizing Measurements
Because each vessel is individually crafted, accurate measurements are essential for a proper fit- even a two-inch difference matters. Please avoid rough estimates whenever possible:
Height: Total height (from a recent medical record or measured directly at the time of inquiry).
Shoulder & Hip Width: Distance across the widest points of the shoulders and hips (edge to edge).
Torso Depth: The thickest part of the torso from front to back, measured while lying flat or standing.
4. Customization Requests
Please let us know of any personal preferences for specific natural materials or plant pigments.
Customization Note: Full customization is welcomed on both pre-orders and immediate-need orders, as current inventory permits. Because we work exclusively with 100% natural materials- willow, locally sourced wood, and botanically dyed fabrics- each piece carries subtle variations in color and character that reflect the unrepeatable beauty of the natural world.
5. Delivery or Pickup Method
Local Pickup: Free from Stone Ridge, NY.
Local Delivery: $200 flat fee within 150 miles of Stone Ridge, NY.
Please Note: We do not offer delivery beyond 150 miles or shipping at this time.

Payment Methods
To make the ordering process as simple and accommodating as possible, we accept several payment options:
Digital Transfers: Zelle (elizabeth@littlewaycaskets.com) or Venmo (@elizabethstanger), due prior to delivery or pickup. Please note: Please check with your bank regarding daily transfer limits prior to sending.
In-Person Payments: Cash, Cashier’s Check, or Certified Bank Check.
Credit & Debit Cards: Payable online via digital invoice (includes a 3.5% processing fee).
Bank Wire / ACH Transfer: Direct bank transfer.
Deposit & Terms
Each burial vessel is individually handcrafted using 100% natural materials through a time-sensitive, step-by-step process: soaking and sorting willow, hand-weaving, woodworking, botanical dyeing, and detailed sewing.
Because orders are tailored to specific measurements and immediate-need requests are prioritized, a 50% deposit is required upon order confirmation, with the remaining balance due on or before pickup or delivery. Due to the custom, handcrafted nature of our work, all sales are final once production begins. Formal payment plans are not offered at this time.
